DEILDARTUNGUHVER, 320 REYKHOLT
The hot water originates in Europe’s most powerful hot spring Deildartunguhver, at a temperature of 100°C (212°F). Krauma has a total of six baths, five warm and one cold.
No extra chemicals are needed to keep the pools clean, as the water is constantly being replaced because of the rapid natural flow rate of the hot springs. The changing room has a separate locker for every guest. The room has a spacious dressing area with large mirrors and good lighting.
Our restaurant can seat 70 guests inside and another 70 outside on the terrace. We serve Icelandic cuisine from the freshest local farm produced ingredients.
Krauma offers several different pools, each with its own unique features and characteristics, all heated naturally by earth's core. The pools temperatures range from 37-41 degrees celsius and cold plunge pool to cool down, with temperatures ranging from 5-10 degrees celsius.
To maximize the experience guests can go to the relaxation room, where the room guests can lie or sit down and relax to soothing music and a crackling fireplace. Krauma also has two saunas, an infrared cell, and a steam bath; both providing a wide array of wellness benefits.
Deildartunguhver has the highest flow rate of hot springs in Europe. The hot spring pumps 180 liters of 100°C (212°F) water per second, which is partially used to provide geothermal heating to homes in West Iceland.
Visit Deildartunguhver to witness this true force of nature or better yet, take a bath in the pure water of the hot spring at Krauma – Geothermal Nature Baths, to experience the hot spring in a whole new way.
