EXPERIENCE NATURE FROM ITS CORE

Krauma is a natural geothermal bath & spa located at Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring. The boiling spring pumps up about 180 liters of 100°C water per second.

Krauma consists of a total of six pools, five hot and one cold. The natural pools contain clean and clear water directly from Deildartunguhvar with varying temperatures ranging from 37°C to 43°C, while the cold tub ranges between 5-6°C.

No extra chemicals are needed to keep the pools clean, as the water is constantly being replaced by the rapid natural flow of the hot springs.

DEILDARTUNGU-HVER, EUROPE’S MOST POWERFUL HOT SPRING.

In the bathing area, guests can wind down in a relaxation room, an infrared cabin, or a water sauna. In the relaxation room,  you will find comfortable deck chairs where guests can relax to the sound of relaxing music and the crackle of the fireplace. In the infrared chamber, there is IR energy that produces comfortable heat, which reaches deep into the body, dilates blood vessels, stimulates blood circulation, releases tension, and calms the body. In the sauna, hot water from Deildartunguhver is injected under the benches for maximum relaxation. Guests can pick their favorite, or switch between rooms as they please.

Krauma Restaurant is located right on sight and seats 60 people providing delicious options focused on fresh ingredients from the region. We offer a varied menu along with coffee and side dishes.

"most luxurious nature bath"

this nature bath experience is so spa-like! It's the most luxurious nature bath I've been to in Iceland. This is secluded, intimate, has a great set-up (there are lovely locker rooms with nice amenities), and several different hot pools to relax in. They have a steam room, a resting room, and a cold bath to plunge into as well. I highly recommend this wonderful geothermal bath.

Tour guides can purchase mass access to Krauma's Nature Spa. The guide sets up a "sales package" where the spa is part of a package tour and presents it on the website, brochure, or other "social" media. Tour guides may also sell access directly to their individual customers or indirectly through third parties. A group offer is also available at the restaurant, along with bathrobes, bathing suits, and towels in the bathing area.

Guests are invited to buy beer, light wine, sparkling wine, and non-alcoholic drinks in the bathing area. Tour guides can order food for groups, both for the bathing area and the restaurant at krauma@krauma.is.
