GEOTHERMAL BATHS

The spa is just an hour and a half drive from Reykjavik and it takes advantage of the naturally heated water from Europe's most powerful hot spring, Deildartunguhver, with a temperature of 100°C (212°F). The hot water is cooled to achieve the perfect bathing temperature with cold water from Rauðsgil, which originates from a nearby glacier. The geothermal water is very rich in various minerals as well as algae. The main minerals are iron, aluminium, calcium, magnesium and sulfur, which are all very common in icelandic soil.

The spa offers 5 different hot baths and one cold plunge bath, all providing a range of benefits for the skin and body.

Geothermal Water

The water is rich in minerals and provides various benefits for the skin and body. Krauma geothermal water offers benefits such as relaxation, pain relief, detoxification, improved skin health, and immune system stimulation. Soaking in the warm water can help ease tension and discomfort, remove toxins, and boost overall well-being.

Hot & Cold Baths

The spa offers several hot pools with temperatures ranging from 37-42 degrees celsius and cold plunge pool to cool down, with temperatures ranging from 5-10 degrees celsius. The alternation of hot and cold temperatures in the pools is said to be beneficial for circulation and overall well-being.

Unique Pool Design

The spa's pools are designed with natural materials such as volcanic stone and wood which creates a natural and cozy atmosphere. The pools are designed to have a shallow depth which allows guests to sit and relax while immersing in the warm water, and deeper for the cold plunge pools, allowing visitors to submerge their whole body in the cold water.

"most luxurious nature bath"

this nature bath experience is so spa-like! It's the most luxurious nature bath I've been to in Iceland. This is secluded, intimate, has a great set-up (there are lovely locker rooms with nice amenities), and several different hot pools to relax in. They have a steam room, a resting room, and a cold bath to plunge into as well. I highly recommend this wonderful geothermal bath.
